Proper Response to Aegis Chains
It seems that many guilds are now running Aegis Chains to counter attacks while maintaining their steamroll. I'm sure this tactic isn't new, but what I want to know is if there's a new way in Nightfall to deal with this annoying strategy.
I looked at Mirror of Disenchantment and wasn't too impressed. What would you suggest?

The main thing to do when playing against an Aegis chain is identifying the Aegis casters and interrupting it. When playing a warrior I'll usually identify the 2 or 3 Aegisers early on and stick to the one I know cast it least recently, then interrupt him. Keeping doing that and you'll take down a lot of their Aegises, giving you windows of vulnerability with which to pressure them out.
Also, learn the Aegis animation on players so you can save your adren until just after it drops.

Not a new tactic, but spiking with shatter enchants is always nice.

Mirror is pretty hard to squeese on a bar and is energy intensive, just draining/shattering the warriors target is a better option.
If you have interrupts, just interrupt it. I am pretty nub at interrupting (I know other people are to! admit it!) so I depend on clocking it. For example, when I see an Aegis go up, I will identify the person who cast it and just burn a pdrain randomly. The recharges are similar enough that the recycled pdrain tells me to key on that target and its an easy interrupt. Repeat. Same thing can be done with Migraine, Shame, and a lot of other annoying spells.

Avatar of Grenth Dervish with Wild Blow and Twin Moon Sweep does the job ridiculously well if you can fit it in. Make him spike along with your warrior doing something like Wild Blow-Mystic-Twin Moon while your warrior does the DW (Evis-Exec, etc.) and he'll take out Aegis along sometimes with Prot Spirit and Spirit Bond. Ofc, it's just up 75/120s, but in those 75s you have a pretty big window where you can spike really dangerously and common defenses (stances and enchants) can't do anything to stop you.
Mirror of Disenchantment on an E/Me or Me/E with GoLE could work pretty well, but usually you don't need Aegis to be removed from everyone but just your target, and for that something like Shatter Enchant is all you really need.

Interrupting is key. If you fail to interrupt it removing is best.

It's not just with Aegis either, proactive counters are nearly always more effective than reactive.

By the way, that dervish idea really sucks to fight against. I was preprotting targets with shield of absorbption and Spirit Bond(the other monk probably threw in a PS too) and our team was still getting spiked through it all. THe guild was running dual smites on the dervishes which made things worse. In order to stop them we eventually started gale chaining on the Dervish when we saw Grenth. It worked, but it was not fun for the first 10 mins of the match.

Aegis (2-sec cast) isn't very hard to interrupt, so you should be able to catch it.

Identify weak target.
Train weak target.
Constantly shatter, drain, and snare this weak target.
Watch weak target die.
Oh look, aegis didn't help them one bit^_^

Training people with enchant strips works nicely. Yeah you can interrupt aegis, but then that goes for most other skills in the game also. People tend to not use aegis in the face of a raging warrior anyways.

thats why we generally train the ele . . . as for the prots, shatter/drain
and someone said "i predict heals" well duh . . but they will lose quite a bit of energy if you keep the dps constant~

Add Avatar of Grenth if you really want to make their monks cry.
